Absolutely Not! In fact, doing so is illegal and we are very diligent about protecting your specific information and keeping our service political and strictly non-commercial. You will not wind up on a mailing list through 2gov.

Are you affiliated with a political party?

No! We are 100% complete independent and not affiliated with any political party, candidate or special interest group. We are comprised entirely of individuals who share a common issue and desire to make our voices heard.

How can I be sure my message was sent to the right officials?

Our system provisionally determines your officials based upon your zip code. When you voter-verify your specific representatives are confirmed through the registrar's office to ensure 100% accuracy.

What if I'm not a citizen (or not registered to vote?)

Every day, elected officials receive thousands of automated messages designed to appear as grassroots activity (a tactic known as "astroturfing.") To ensure our messages get noticed above this clutter, 2gov authenticates each message as coming from a voting constituent of that representative. If you wish to send a non-authenticated message, please consider a tool such as Tweet Congress.
